When our pets are sick, we immediately want to reach for the most powerful medication on the shelf. However, sometimes the right choice to prevent stress is to opt for a gentler medication at first, especially with less severe infections. PolyGuard is among Seachems strongest medications and is best used when you are unsure what disease you are treating or when the fish is suffering from multiple infections.

Before Treating
Remove all invertebrates - these are extremely sensitive to medication. Turn off UV filters, and ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration like MatrixCarbon and Purigen. Ensure that your tank is fully cycled and stable; poor water quality is the root cause of most fish diseases, and adding medication will do no good if the water chemistry is still bad.

Dosing:
Use 1 measure (included) per every 40 L (10 US gallons) of water. Repeat this dose every 72 hours for a maximum of 2 weeks. Repeat every 3 days for up to 2 weeks or until symptoms disappear. Use whenever introducing new fish.

After Treating
When the treatment period is over, PolyGuard can easily be removed using activated filter carbon like MatrixCarbon. It does not linger in the substrate or filter media of the tank.

Seachem Focus is an antibacterial polymer for internal infections of fish. It may be used alone or mixed with other medications to make them palatable to fish and greatly reduce the loss of medication to the water through diffusion.

Prior to Use: Turn off skimmer and discontinue using activated carbon and phosphate remover for 72 hours; they may be resumed after 72 hours, but all other chemical filtration should be removed during the course of treatment. Filter socks are recommended to aid in cleaning the aquarium. Do not use if you have macroalgae or a refugium. Allow 10 to 14 days for results.

Directions: For best results, siphon out as much Green Cyano Bacteria as possible from your aquarium. Remove 1 cup of water from your aquarium and mix with 1 level scoop of GreenCyano Rx for every 10 gallons (37.9 liters) of true water volume in your aquarium. Dissolve thoroughly and pour solution into the aquarium. Discontinue the use of carbon, and ozone during the treatment period. Do not dose in the evenings when lighting is turned off. After desired results are visible, perform a 25% water change and resume the use of carbon, and ozone. If Cyano Bacteria is still visible, perform a 25% water change and repeat dosage.

Note: The best time to start the treatments is in the morning when lighting first comes on. Also, it is important to perform a 25% water change after every dose. In case of accidental tank overdose, the medication can be removed using Clear Fx Pro.

Kordon's Malachite Green is an effective medication used for the control of various external parasites of freshwater and marine fishes. When used as directed the medication will control or prevent the following common protozoan parasites: Ichthyophthinus (freshwater Ich), Costra, Chilodonella, Ambiphyra, Cryptocaryon (marine Ich), Epistylis, Oodinium, and Trichodina. Kordon's Malachite Green is also effective against common external fungal infections of fishes and eggs which include Achlya and Saprolegnia.
