Hikari Ich-X Health Aid is a proven formulation to help eliminate the disease conditions caused by freshwater or marine ich without negatively impacting the biological activity in an aquarium. Hikari Ich-X utilizes the most widely respected formulation for the treatment of ich, with a less toxic form of malachite green than other ich treatments.

Ich-X can be used to treat Ich, Velvet (Gold Dust Disease), Saprolegniasis and Trichodiniasis.

Directions for Use: To treat "ich" disease (ichthyophthiriasis) of freshwater fishes and "marine ich" disease (cryptocaryoniasis) of marine fishes, add 1 teaspoonful of Ich-X to 10 gallons of aquarium water. FOR BEST RESULTS: 1) Always treat in a separate quarantine/treatment tank, 2) remove activated carbon from filters and clean or replace mechanical filtration media (do not stop filtration!), 3) make at least a 1/3 water change before each addition of Ich-X, and 4) repeat treatments at least every 24 hours, but no more often than every 8 hours, depending upon the course of the disease. Do not overdose. 4 oz treats up to 240 gallons. 16 oz treats up to 960 gallons. Please read and follow all product directions carefully.

Seachem KanaPlex is a blended kanamycin-based medication that safely and effectively treats several fungal and bacterial fish diseases, including dropsy, popeye, fin/tail rot, and septicemica.

Because it is absorbed by fish, Kanaplex is useful in treating internal infections in those situations where food is refused. It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. To enhance palatability use with Garlic Guard. Food may be refrozen.

Directions: Use 1 level spoonful (180 mg) for every 20 L (5 gallons). Repeat every 2 days as required up to a maximum of 3 doses. Turn off UV, ozone, and chemical filtration. To feed, blend 1 measure with about 1 tablespoon of frozen food paste. Food may be refrozen.

Kordon Methylene Blue is effective against superficial fungal infections of fishes. The Kordon Methylene Blue may be used as an alternative to Malachite Green for the control of fungus when it is known that the fish to be treated are sensitive.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use 1 teaspoon (approximately 5 ml) per 10 gallons of water for most treatments. This produces a concentration of 0.05 ppm. At this concentration, 4 ounces of Malachite Green will treat 240 gallons of water.
